Weekly Project Updates

May 8 to May 16

Nightly short-term, intermittent lane closures will occur on Bates Street at Exit 3 from Second Avenue to Forbes Avenue from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. through May 16 for manhole/valve box cover adjustments.

THIS WORK IS FOR SECTION OF PARKWAY EAST THAT WAS COMPLETED IN 2007.

 The project is currently on a winter shutdown.  There are several items of work that remain for the 2008 construction season.  These include but are not limited to:

1. Additional concrete repairs on the substructure of the Commercial Street Bridge.
2. Add or replace underpass lighting at two overhead structures.
3. Modification of the guiderail to bridge transitions. 
4. (Potential) Modifications to the overheight truck detection system at the Squirrel Hill Tunnel
